Only as headphones and in FAL . FAL didn't mention he bought them from these people . Think that's right . Highly recommended . For what it's worth a Motorola tweeter with some careful crossover design can give a hint of this for pennies . A super tweeter at 10 kHz to 40 kHz .

I find the Ergo AMT not interesting in comparison to Audeze magnetostats. Price and quality is comparable, but comfort of the AMT (both shape and weight) is a mess. The AMP1 appeared very neural to me for a very competitive price.

Best I've ever heard by a long way at hifi shows were 4 stacked Quad ESL63's and that includes the bass. It had the lot, clarity in the extreme at all frequencies and just so musical. Can't remember the rest of the vinyl based system unfortunately, it looked a bit home-brew and I think they were demonstrating a cartridge.

A cheaper alternative to stacked Quads is to use pieces of MDF top and bottom to make the baffle larger . A small bass advantage is had . A stacking frame can be used to house it all . Well worth a try if getting stacked Quads later .
A recording studio I helped has stacked Quads , so proud of that . |

I soon hope mine, wishful thinking
I've just finished with woodworking. Now I "only" need to design a descent filter, this could be the hardest part ![]() Last year at a Hifi show I heard those open baffle Lyngdorfs They sounded like you were in the concert hall, they were the best of the show. Grts, Danny |

Very nice Danny!
I have not heard Lyndorfs, but I suppose they are good sounding. Good concept, if there is good execution, why not. They are similar concept to Audio Artistry, all open baffle. |
