I just bought 2pcs of 12pe32. I want to cross them lower than in John's 100hz horn, so i did some Hornresp sim.
Because of its length, 123cm without back chamber, i will bend it.
Should i do a smooth curved bend, as in for example Imperial horn, or a 90degrees sharp bend?
Thanks!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Smooth is preferable if you can swing it...
Never thought of bending it.
Could I do that with the 10DM26 mid horn you drew carpenter? Horn ingress has become a possible issue with WAF......
Are you referring to the 60hz crescent horn? If so, it's already curved.

Depends on how high in frequency [Fh] you want to use the horn, i.e. the 'sharper' and/or longer before the bend, the lower its usable [Fh] and the more reflections back to the throat [St], which shows up as [increased] response 'ripple'. In short, for the widest, smoothest practical gain bandwidth [BW] use the Nautilus shell as a guide same as W.E. did: https://www.google.com/search?q=w.e...ved=0ahUKEwjWl9WSy8vPAhWGTCYKHTE2A20Q_AUIBigB

edit: Harry Olson's BLH shows how to do it with just board panels: https://www.google.com/patents/US2224919
