Funniest snake oil theories

If you mean “Comsol” instead. It is quite limited in what it can do. Although you could use it to do some estimations, I would not hang my life on it.

Never used it for acoustics only EM (not me driving). I wouldn't bet on corrections to the standard EM equations to account for audio signals either.

The emperor's cloths will be removed tomorrow revealing pictures promised.

Near in mind that these analysis tools get your design reasonably close to your goal to save you time and effort, but if you are looking for more precise information, the real thing is the only way. In this fully extremely automated world, the devices that require extreme precision are still refined by the skilled hand. Ever wonder how the traditional gyroscopes are made for navigation? Even some large precise machine parts are hand trimmed, a friend has a shop that does this.

I am not dissing 'conventional' theory, but I am suggesting that it does not fully describe the likes of BQP, my filters, and indeed the effects of power cables.

At the frequencies of interest (50/60Hz) a power cable could be described as a four terminal capacitor with parasitic inductance and resistance.
The dielectric (insulation) qualities will influence, and I find this a factor differentiating otherwise essentially identical power cables.

So let's talk physics....how does a ferrite bead filter work, I mean really work, not just overview description, and what secondary effects are to be expected ?.

Only the fool laughs at that which he does not perceive or understand.

Dan.

At 50Hz a lumped model works perfectly. A few extra nF on a cable will do nothing. As for why physics won't explain your filters, that is easy. You need a psychologist for that as it's in your mind!

Sometimes you can, otherwise how could it be possible to produce the first highly precise machine?

You can if you use a machine to hand trim. This requires lots of skill and experience, and patience as well. These people are hard to find and train. One friend makes parts for precision machines. I was reviewing Northwest Analytics products a while back, seems like it is possible to use accumulated data of certain machines to filter out some of the better performing machines over time.

That's not dissing? You don't even understand the standard model but you insist that some unproven effects have causes outside physics as we know it, and you have no evidence to back up your claims. What does it look like when you "diss" something?

Will influence what, and in what way? Sheesh, at least speak in sentences.

You tell us. What so-called secondary effects do you expect, and how do you quantify them?

Only the fool laughs at that which he does not perceive or understand.

Dan.

Smartest thing you said. You should make some more effort to understand.

Also skill isn't hard to find, at least not in Germany. Of course a bunch of bearded hipsters seem to have invented craftmanship a couple of years ago but there are loads of trained craftspeople with really high skills.
One of the standard tasks we had to do in machinists training, when we learned how to use files was to file a square hole into a steel plate and then file a square piece that exactly fits into there. Exactly means it must be able to be pushed out by two thumbs and held against a light source no gap is to be visible. Standard job.
