Nice article Stuart...unfortunately I fell asleep reading it last night...and had dreams I was being chased by tube gear. Thanks
Pizza oven, that'll be the day !
I'm with Stuart on that one, I'd also like my own wood burning pizza oven.. 😀
I love the reference on the front cover to a "Monster system with 23 tubes" - my now retired 300B amps had a grand total of 24 tubes including the rather elaborate power supplies, and the system in that incarnation a total of 39 tubes excluding the tuner. Not sure what sort of figure of merit this is, as I like my much simpler 2 tube GM70 monoblocks better.. 😛
That poor poor magazine... I haven't seen the latest one apparently. But it is so thin, scrawny, and don'tcha just love that crossword puzzle?
Ah dear... maybe they will manage to pull it out of the death dive it is in. Shannon is a very nice person. Unfortunately, she knows almost nothing about audio. On-the-job training it seems.

It's growing and I have noticed more adverts in recent editions. I'm not terribly thrilled with the quality of most of the designs, but I will support the magazine on an indefinite basis as I think we still need a diy magazine here in the U.S.
Orca, Ott, eria, emir, enos...
Stu..., you dont have to summon up some demon just to prove a point...WE BELIEVE YOU I SWEAR!😀

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Interesting Stuart - you start to write for Linear Audio and immediately you become famous 😀
BTW I hate it when you say you read all my articles when you were a kid. Makes me feel soo old...

As of now Linear Audio is the premier audio magazine - wish I had one to read... at least that's the word on the "street". I have no personal experience with those high falootin' Euro publications.

You ARE old.
I love the crossword puzzle...
I think they want to call that a Criss-Cross. 🙂

Do you have an actual hardware address?
And, ehhh, it's not a euro pub. How can it be with Stuart in it??

Jan,
SY is still a kid! But you know it just might be a sign that you are getting older when you get to retire!
Of course when I get on a job site my hard hat has a date of manufacture molded inside that is older than almost all the workers. (D.O.M. 8/71 !)
