Tube-lover SE and Full Balance TDA1541a DAC

i have a problem with full balanced dac full version
i want to go in NOS no reclock mode, and it seems to be difficult

i would like to transform this full balanced dac in SE dac, to test NOS no reclock

if someone has this version, is it possible tot take a look at pics i sended on the other forum and tell me jumpers positions and perhabs what is changing in wiring

i think particulary on TDA1541 card jumpers 19 and 20 may be interesting for me

Salut Gomi2,

J'ai vérifié sur mon DAC... (le même que le tien)

Sur J19, le jumper se trouve sur les pins 1 et 2

Sur J20, il y a un jumper... sur les deux seules pins qu'il y a.

J'espère que ça peut te donner une piste.

hello yes thanks a lot, it's now working ; i have post on the other thread about this dac how to go from balanced to se and nos no reclock

i have put the active IV this afternoon, very nice, more details with 4 opamps, more "cristal" sounding

BTW, I remember reading you using passive IV on Thomas DAC? Is it transformer base? Appreciate if you can share some info on this.

I use passive i/v with this dac, with tube stage. I tried a transformer, worked well, but not enough signal. I would need a good step up transfo, but I did not continued the experience for now.

Anyone here is using M2TECH Hiface with their DAC?

There many talk about this little gem around many forum and it appear to be design specifically for those who wanted audiophile sound using PC/computer as source. Just wonder anyone with Thomas DAC have good results with it and what clocking option you find sound the best.
