I'm interested, put myself down on the spreadsheet. Looking forward to learning and listening.

What sort of a timeline are we looking at with this GB?

Thank you for your interest.
I expect to have MKII prototype running and tested between 1 - 10 August.
Testing, measurement and comparison will take another ~ 2 weeks and in case all is OK, will start to collect money and mass produce the board and KIT. This time we are going to solder in a professional way using a stencil printer.

Regards,
Tibi

Default remote and puck

Hi Tibi,
Thanks for all your hard work. I built Peter Daniel's original shigaclone using JVC boombox. Will the remote and puck work with your unit? Thank you.

JVC puck and remote already work perfectly with my unit and vice-versa.

Regards,
Tibi

Tibi, I already have LM1085 versions of your linears feeding P-A SSR01 super regulators for the DSP and clock. Since I already have these, it sounds like I would only need a 2013 Shigaclone board itself if I wanted to "trade up". Is that right?

Default transformer

Hi Tibi,
Please forgive my novice questions. I've been looking at the bom. Will the transformer specs change with new version of the shiga transport? Many thanks. Regards.

Yes, it is right, you'll need only 2013 Shiga MKII board.

Tibi

Okay. Another question. It sounded like you are planning to incorporate PIN diodes for low noise voltage references on the MKII board? Will this make using something like a SSR01 (or any stand alone super reg) a problem?

Like on first Shiga, you'll be able to use super regulators in different places.
Single difference is that the Shiga MKII will come by default with a ultra low noise voltage reference included on board. It will be up to you to remove, bypass or use another super reg you may like.

Regards,
Tibi
