you will probably find it difficult if not impossible to match PNP to NPN.

That is not true, with Zero series from ON Semi.
MJW/MJE/NJL 0302/0281 are targeted from manufacture process in 10% matched class.
Take a look here ;)

The matching was made at 100mA Ic and 20V Vce. The following transistors were selected from a lot of 15 peers

NJL0281 [npn] NJL0302 [pnp]
-----------------------------------------------
hfe Vbe[mV] hfe Vbe[mV]
-----------------------------------------------
138 593 133 600
136 592 133 600
134 592 133 600
-----------------------------------------------
132 594 129 600
128 594 129 600
129 594 128 600

The current imbalance is under 8% at idle, but I'm not so sure that I can measure that precisely because I have not access to both Re pins due to PCB layout. If I move the probe only 5mm along tick Re resistor pin, the measured Vre value change in the range of 0.2 to 0.5mV.

Following up my previous post on getting custom toroids made in North America, I have settled on getting toroids made with the following specifications:

Primaries:
1 x 120v

Secondaries (bifilar wound):
Sec # 1 30V @ 4.35amps, 25V @ 5.2 amps.
Sec # 2 30V @ 4.35amps, 25V @ 5.2 amps.
Sec # 4 39V @ 0.21 amps, 34V @ 0.235 amps.
Sec # 4 39V @ 0.21 amps, 34V @ 0.235 amps.

Regulation on the 30V secondaries is 4.4%
Regulation on the 39V secondaries is 4.62%

electrostatic shield,
OD: 5.3", HT: 2.4"

Price is $85 if 10 or more purchased (does not include PayPal or shipping).

If anyone is building or planning to build this amp, now is a good opportunity to jump in on this buy. You can PayPal (4%) the manufacturer directly, and have them shipped directly to you, or use a money order. Email me for further details. We would like to order these real soon.

RMI-FC100 PCB's FS

Hello,
I have four pair of RMI-FC100 PCB's ( 4 PSU PCB's + 4 Amplifier PCB's ) for sale. I am selling them for what I paid for them. One front end PSU PCB + 1 Amplifier PCB is needed per channel. So, I will be selling them in pairs (1 PSU + AMP PCB) = 24 euros (30.42 USD). This price does not include postage or any other fee's that might apply.

We do have the minimum number of 10 in line for the price break, so the $85 US is a firm price.

capacitors

@ Keith, Josip, Matej,

brought capacitors (and boards) to postoffice today. Should arrive within one week. Please write a note after having received items.

Please be aware, that I unfortunately had to pay VAT last week. :bawling: Its about 19% here in Germany. I'll send you a paypal moneyorder for this. Not that much, but too much for me alone.

Jacco, I'll send out your pcbs these days as well.

Cheers Ernst
