Hi
I think simple is the best!
Simplify TP1, 116 Acousta , Hedlund horn, only take the advantage of those classic design.

Qts: from 0.2 (100V DC) to 0.3(78V DC)

Excellent lower frequency extend down to 50Hz, even lower depend on room size.

The design is really sublime. I really like your work - absolutely beautiful workmanship. I wonder how this would sound made out of foam core board?

I am having a hard time appreciating the scale of your horn cabinet without a size reference. What are the dimensions of the mouth, the cross section, length, etc? Are there any internal structures or is it just a smooth channel all the way out?

Thanks for the plan KoHo. It's actually quite simple. I might have to give this a try in my quick-and-easy foam core board. I don't have a fancy Lowther, what might you suggest as the equivalent diameter FR budget driver to use? What are the key params to try to match for driver?

Hi xrk971
Zen Acousta are design for Lowther or any other FR has Low Qts drive,
simple horn design better than my other horn( Lowther TP1, Acousta, Medallion and Hedlund....)
try some drive with better high frequency, let the horn do his job to produce bass.
Personally, I prefer some twin paper cone and Alnico drive, sound smooth, New drive such as Fostex FE206, Tang Band W8..... and vintage Philips 9710 on Ebay.
Keep in touch
Thank
KoHo
