It wasn't today, but last Sunday, but I picked up a pair of Magnepan MG II-B's for $50. They need a little work, but considering that they were $1200 new in 1983 and a pair went for $150 yesterday on ebay needing similar work, I'm happy.
Peace, Dave |

Well I almost bought a pair of Klipsch La Scalas on craigslist today. Eventually decided against it because the $500 would be better spent on my upcoming vacation

A pair of Admiral Tunnel Reflex (the ones with FE103A in them) for $2.
An interesting aside... the guy who designed these got the US Patent for transmission lines just before Bailey published his seminal article. http://t-linespeakers.org/drivers/tu...lex/index.html dave

A rack-mount Tektronix 502A (haven't fired it up yet) and a small box of tubes, two of which appear to be NOS Telefunken 12AX7s still in the boxes and matching date codes, as well as two more Tele AX7s (one labelled Tele, the other Fisher) that appear to be used.
Damn, that Tek is heavy! |
