Hi Guys,

Looks like I'll be ordering at least 40 boards then, since I'll be keeping 3 for myself.

I've finally got the layout complete and routed, so feel free to take a look and comment. It's hard to picture everything, but I've printed things off by the layer so you can line them up if you'd like.

I'll work on a BOM tonight, and hopefully I can get the boards ordered on Monday.

Cheers,
Owen

Default Surface mount components?

Wait, what? Am I miss reading the diagram, or are surface mount components used? I did a search of this thread for the words 'surface mount' and found nothing, so I'm hoping I am wrong about this.

yeah and surface mount parts are terrible for decoupling arent they. isnt the whole dac SMD?? I think you will indeed find there are SMD components used and so should there be IMO they are the best part for the job

The 50 piece price break should make sense any board now.

Yes, I would agree. However, mounting SMDs aren't a part of my skills.
I know, it's a pain getting old. My TP Buffalo parts were all pre mounted.

aahhhaa sorry I misinterpreted your reasoning sorry about that. there is just so much illogical aversion to SMD around here. dont know if its going to be practical due to my location, but if noone else closer to home will help you out. Owen could send your board here and i'll mount all the SMD stuff for you. I would like to think someone on here would help me out if I was in your position, so no problem
