Ryssen - we will never know as of Icsaszars testimony of use in Migs. To avoid any political claims - we will simply never be told of the 6N28B-V's reliability in Mig's. If it was a military tube there might be sparse private claims of the reliability which of course if they are for sale is to good to be true!
Physics are about compromises - no free lunches an so on!
But they might do well in a phonamp though - first gain atleast 20dB - after that - choose yer favourite mm phono circuit and use the pre-pre instead of a sut.

6n28b tubes are longlife tubes 2000 till 10000 houres.
Gain should be around 16 times.
Just right for 0,3mv MC cartridge. Then use MM tube preamp of your choice.

I tried both Nuvistors and those pencil tubes, but at the end I found ordinary noval tubes better for the purpose.
No I don't have it any more. From memory it was a common cathode amplifier with two parallel sections, 10k anode load, no cathode resistor (0V grid voltage), supply voltage not sure, perhaps 150V.
I just won 2 Valvo ECC86 on ebay,pretty cheap to..for future experiments.
Maybe the Valvos ain´t no good,as they where cheap?
they where said to be new..
