Yes it is. It would be cool to have some kind of "indexing" on the gimble of the tonearm. It would have to be some kind of REALLY fine worm drive or something like that. I agree that it is a lot of work and weight for something (for the most part) is set-it-and-forget-it.

That's it. Once its set, you probably won't touch it again unless you changed cartridges or something major like that.

So, yeah, that was a big factor in deciding to make it less 'user friendly' but still have the adjustability.
