Hi Salas great work here.
I have zero experience with design. If i wanted to just use the Low MC as a head IE no RIAA, is this possible to use in series with my existing mm phono stage. The cartridge output is 0.4 mV |

No. It will output 30dB gain before Riaa, and grossly overload your MM input.
Make this one I attach instead, you can check it out using just a 9V battery. Has 10x gain with a 2SK170BL. The input resistor can be your MC cartridge manufacturer's recommended load value instead of the indicative 150R. |

Just a basic proper gain stage so someone can use his MC cart on his MM phono in its most simple. There are sophisticated circuits with better noise. This one is handy to make fast and will do the job rather decently, thats all.

A similar project, complete with "series" PS, published years ago on these pages by English member Kwei Yang Wang.

The gate stoppers add noise directly, and are not needed in practice IMO. Must be 2SK170BL too? Because I see same bias scheme.
