If you look at the 10 series amp in the video link provided on page 54 of my pdf, at 1:54 you will see varnish also on the right hand side of the power transformer. This may be caused by the angle of the transformer after it has been dipped, so check it is actual varnish and not wax, which I don't think Yaqin used anyway.
