This is all well and good to equalise a 4th order roll off to flat, perhaps extending output by an octave. But what about distortion that occurs below the port tuning? You are forcing it to do something, operating it in a range where it is unloaded and most non linear.
Tha patent for the ace bass which modifies the speaker parameters is interesting I remember looking that up in 2005 or so. Then I realised why not just use a proper woofer for the task.
