I need a chassis for my DX amplifier. I usually try to get a broken amp from ebay or craigs list, and hit the surplus stores, and keep a stock of junk around here, but have struck out with this one.
Anyone want to sell me a chassis for an amp? I don't need the heatsinks but if you have em ok too. Anyone got a broken amp they want to get rid of, I could use that too.
Edit- oops, this is in group buys, ok to move to trading post?

Thanks!
If the receiver is of the type that the front panel can be replaced with one from frontpanelexpress (aluminum rectangle) then we are good to go.
Some receivers have a beveled or molded front panel that cannot be replaced with an aluminum rectangle, so those would not be suitable.
If you want to send me a pic and dimensions, I would appreciate it and could give a thumbs up or not.

Kenwood manuals
OK,
Dyslexia and a condition we refer to as CRS combine to change the subject receiver to a Kenwood VR305.
Pull up the owner's manual and see what you think. It is rated 80W/ch. The heat sink is typical of these units: plate aluminum with sheet metal fins. Also, the volume knob is missing. Not a biggy, but wanted you to know. Considering you'll replace the faceplate, I'd rate the condition as fair to good. No remote found.

hmmm...
there is one for sale on ebay, good Pictures.
It is 17.5x15x6 inch and around 28Lbs.
It could work but actually it is much bigger than I need. Its huge. I will have to put you on 'hold' on this and see if I can get something that is smaller. I'll email you if I cannot locate anything.
