this page says that the jj tubes have a push pull R_a_a_ of 10k ohms, does that mean i want a OT with an input impedance of 10k? like this?

Bet it was.

Lower primary impedance = greater stress on the output valves, but also more power out.
Greater primary impedance = less stress, less power, and lower distortion.

Suggests between 8k and 10k.

I'd go for 8k, but its your project. That 10k one with a blue cover looks cool.

I'd probably go with the TO25.


You can get a straight 8K Heyboer from Mojo for at least fifteen bucks less, but Allen Amps are known for good tone and I hate the smell of smoke. Keep in mind, two 6V6s in a guitar amp will put out more voltage than two in a hifi amp. In actual use, that is.

after reading a lot i understand OT pretty good now,

and i know the one i bought is a cheaper one, and its just 8k-8ohm, but i just want to get the amp up and running, then from there i will probably upgrade to a 7k-4/8ohm OT down the road.

I've got my new caps to put in now, I can wait to be able to play through this thing!
