Which SPDIF RX, AK4118 PCM9211 etc

Hi guys,

I'm working on a project with some volume ambition. After bending over backwards with the WM8805 it turns out its price is way off the mark at $6.

So I've found both the AK4118 and the PCM9211 which look good at about 1/3 the price.

Do you have experience with the two? I'll be controlling them with I2C and will open source the firmware. (I've already done that for the WM8805.)
