What do you want porn of here in particular? Whole set up or?

bigger pic than you posted

that one is size of post stamp

Oh if I crank it to max, its a little too loud. But not "College boy crazy" level.

if you want more........ locate trace going from mid pin of trimpot in buffer sources; cut the trace near trimpot midpin

confirm that trace is originally leading to pin 1 of Jensen thingie (consult Jensen datasheet if needed)

if that is the case, connect trimpot mid pin with thin wire to Jensen pin 2 or 3 (they're shorted together)

that way you'll have 12db instead of 6db gain

I'll check here in 3 days what you did ......

Wait, that time is only wiring...trace cutting requires much contemplation.

Just got a Fed Ex exception "unavoidable delay" in Italy. Hopefully its just the situation with virus and reduced activities Which are to be expected. I knew when I ordered there would be delays.

That's OK, it will get here.

About pic size, they looked normal on my end. They didn't have x in lower left corner to expand. I've been having pic posting problems I have no idea why small. a new computer would have been simpler!

Putting Iron pre in main system with regular digital steaming instead of old phone this thing is much improved. Better source, better sound duh!

Most importantly it also is cured of previously mentioned lack of gain. Plenty now. This setup it is now in has the Tektons in place, which are a few dB more efficient than the E'waves and also has Aleph J as power amp. It has a few dB of gain over M2 as well. I really think it is the source being main difference in volume level.

Microsoft Paint.:yikes:
It might be Microsoft, and Windows!
But it is very simple and does what it says on the tin.
Re-size, or rotate, and save. It works.

I like simples! :boggled:

I like simple as well. "upgrading" my lap top to Windows 10 wasn't difficult, but various odds and ends like this pic sizing need to be reset and adjusted. I will try paint.

Had similar issue trying to play certain types of files of video. Down loaded a player for that.

Thanks for the tip,

I will have more to say after listening for a while. Would also like to cart it upstairs to vinyl system. It uses BA3 as power amp and Pearl 2 as phono pre so I don't anticipate any gain problems.

Firstly, I notice it has a nice smooth sound. Nice 3d staging on correct source. Big and transparent sound. Previously this system had BA3 FE as pre and it is no slouch on these descriptors either. Bass is strong on these Tektons, but they are 40 hz by spec, and maybe a little room gain. In a few minutes, I will flip phase of speakers and see what that yields. Right now, they are "flipped" as that is how I had it with Aleph J in chain.

Beginning to notice (again on correct material) a very attractive sound to the high frequency tid bits like cymbals. Jah Wobble on right now and some of their music many times has some ethereal sounding voices in back ground. I notice them on BA3 FE also, but this is presented differently. Better orworse? No, just noting a different presentation. My usual reactions like this are to end up favoring it over the previous.

As to bass, as already said about bass of Tektons, nothing to complain about at all, 2 eight inch woofers can only give so much. Not to be too hard on them but yesterday I was having system with E'waves. 5 cubic foot box and 15" JBL 2235H which is much more bass capable.

Even with crappy phone this Iron pre performing admirably in bass department. Outstanding slam
control and so forth. Sort of like system now engaged, it uses BA 2018 pre by Wayne. Both do great, but like High end noted above using BA3 pre, bass is different in presentation, as said above I usually begin to favor presentations like that.

So glad you've got it up and running! Enjoy the tunes.

OH! BTW - If you are getting some noise / hum once you put it into the chassis due to transformer hum, you can try out one of the Antek pot cans or similar home-brew. I just got a few of the ones from Antek yesterday in preparation for my balanced build. Me being a dodo, I thought I could use one donut to power both boards. Silly me. So, in anticipation of having two oversized 50VA donuts in the same chassis - I got some of the cans for better shielding. We'll see how it goes. They're expensive, IMHO, but I was surprised how thick / heavy they were and how well built.
