Hi Panos,
The 6SL7 isn't particularly scarce or expensive, you can get nice ones for a very reasonable price on eBay on a surprisingly frequent basis. If possible arrange for the shipper to use global priority mail (if available to Greece) and then even the shipping cost and time will be ok too.

I basically buy what I need wherever I find it, giving consideration to the shipping cost of course.
 
Well, this is more encouraging as I was a little stumped what to do with the 30 of them I was just given.

In addition to the SRPP driver, you can build Octal phono stages with 6SL7s. They go into the "classic" RCA passive circuit instead of a 12AX7, with zero changes.
