Thank you. Very strong, fresh and current music and lyrics. I did not expect this from them. I thought that DDT had long been decommissioned.
Nonononono .... Yura will be a tough fight for Death himself, when that day comes. Interesting though that my wife says that her late brother and Yurij were "korniki", but I don't know if they knew each other back then.

I know what the missi0on of DDT is, to make (young) people realise what is happening in Russia in a way that people like and listen to, but sometimes the music gets a bit too political. But still DDT (and Nautilus Pompilius) are my favourite groups.

Btw, an old friend of mine who late in his life became a man of god (priest) was awestruck when I played music from several of Nau's CDs, explaining what Гулят по воде, Небо и трава, Колоса любви, Жажда were all about.

Video to the music of Georgy Sviridov - Time, forward!, shows the construction of the Hoover Dam. Architectural Art Deco! During construction 96 people died. The first person to die during the construction of the dam was topographer J. Tierney, who drowned in the waters of Colorado in December 1922 in the process of choosing the best place for construction. In the USSR at that time and until the mid-80s, such powerful industrial construction also continued. In Japan, after the war, the economy grew by 15% per year. In the USSR, 30% per year! I liked it at the time. Even the trees at that time were very tall, not like now. )))
Previously, DDT songs seemed to me not as sharp as they are now. And it's good that there is progress in rock.
Just politics in rock is not enough. And the time has come, and the need for music came to the fore, not only in Russia, but also in the West. The fat bourgeoisie long ago conquered the world and divided it among themselves.

Played the last album from Hothouse Flowers - Let's Do This Thing.

Ever since they played on the ECS in Dublin in the 80's I have sort of hooked on to the Flowers and really love their music. Not in any way (no way) being a religious person I still find their music and their lyrics so comforting and must confess that the music has been helping me to get back in the saddle.

Spent today and yesterday listening to Le Trilogies de la Morte by Elaine Radigue. It’s 3 hours long and made up of interweaving drones from an ARP2500 Synthesizer. An incredible musical creation, which took 8 years to complete. I have waited my whole life to finally hear the equivalence to my own visual art. When it came to the end, everything in the room went completely quiet. Fantastic musical experience. ToS

Diana Krall "Stepping Out"

Her voice trips up many midrange on 3 ways or tweeters on 2 ways. Some say the microphones are to blame. Anyway, it is a good test to get her voice just right and to get the piano just right when fine tuning crossover frequencies, slopes and midrange and tweeter attenuation.

If you can get her voice and piano both sounding right, your are 95% done with tuning. The upper overtones and harmonics of a violin are the last step for me; extremely difficult to get "just right"!
