I've got an older pair of Mirage M3's, and noticed a small cut in the butyl surround on one of the woofers. I know that I'll probably have to replace the driver at some point, but I'm hoping that I may be able to repair the cut as a stopgap. Any suggestions on what type of glue would be best to repair the cut in the butyl surround? I've been doing a bit of research on it, but can't quite get a straight answer. Since many bicycle tires are made of butyl, would tire repair patch glue work? Or, should I use butyl caulk (roof cement)? Or would silicone be a better bet? Thanks
