Currently using 2 x Curryman DAC's, but leaving enough room in the case to up-grade to 4 at a latter date... Also believe Curryman is working on a add-on board to allow easier connection of DAC's and includes buffered I2S outputs, plus easier input access for I2S-IN with Slave / Master mode [newest firmware option].
If you want to be posh, go for the Twisted Pear Audio multichannel Buffalo III DAC. Run it in voltage mode and you won't need 4 line-stages. Or burn loads of money and go with 4 x Legato I/V line-stage or OPC's NTD1 [v3 out soon'ish].
