I'm craving a bit of Absinthe. Problem is I'm too cheap to order from Europe(Jade C.F. Berger 63 pounds plus shipping) and have it courier delivered, and am not to fond of American brands.
Nothing clandestine is available locally any more.
Gimp,
Take a glass of Sambuca or Ouzo, water it down, close your eyes, plug your nose, drink it quickly and after a few, the thought of needing Absithe will be behind you.
uhhh... Absinthe very good only with water, pure or with melted sugar and water ideal for summer or
Pastis from the provence pure, the cheaper one with water
re Vodka - it turns out that the two that I like the most are quite affordable
Sobieski (Polish / Rye) and Luksusowa (Polish / Potato) - silkier finish than the Russian standard for sure
I think that on a very hot, late afternoon, nothing is better than Pernod and water -- it does sneak up on you. It's the one thing i purchase in the duty-free on the way back since it's much cheaper than state-side.
Dark Horse Brewing Co. Crooked Tree IPA...this is the season when the Double Crooked Tree (double the hops and ABV 12%) can be found - looking but so far not landed!
