I wonder if that is PVA or more like "hot-glue" that comes in the sticks??

Never saw that stuff before. My last veneer project was before the web though...

Smells a bit like dried glue to me,quiet expensive for knackered glue

What do you do to your speakers to need more? Anyway, give a high build finish a knock and it crazes and needs completely refinishing, with an oil/wax based finish you can just steam the dent out, add a another couple of coats of wax, and it's as good as new.

It's like the glue sticks. Comes in a bewildering variety of properties. Incidentaly, it's been used commercialy for a very long time, even before "glue guns and sticks" became a common hobbyist item.
