Hi,
I've got some cheap 2nd-hand full-range drivers that I'd like to measure a few T/S parameters for (I've never done this before). I've down-loaded Paul Kellet's Wavetools program to use as a signal generator. What level of signal output should I use when I measure the driver's impedance vs. frequency curve? Would the signal output of my laptop be sufficient or should I run it through my 50-watt amp at full volume?
Thanks,
Joseph.

Hi,
Thiel and Small parameters are refered to small signals, that is, from my point of view, more or less 1 volt. The output of your laptop should be sufficient, but you have to be sure that it is capable to output a clean signal; for sure your ampli should be better, since it is supposed to be Hi-Fi.
