In commercial Russian amp Ty-600 where 6L6 tubes were driving paralleled GM-70 outputs, 6L6 (6P3S) cathode followers had bootstrapped grids, through secondary winding of an interstage transformer (output toobs were driven directly from 6L6 cathodes). Actually, it was an interstage auto-transformer, with secondary to bootstrap grids.
