Yes, I will take time to compare both amps. I'm curious how
good they are compared to "high-end" reference amps
in the 10.000€+ price range. Maybe I'll carry them to
a local dealer for a listening session.
Update: got a confirmation from the PSU seller (Schuro)
that they are finally able to ship their PSU! Yippee!!
Maybe I get to keep the UCD400 but even if not - the PSU
(with a decent transformer) can supply the correct
voltage (approx. +-50 VDC) to either UCD400 or Zappulse.
I'm also curious to find out which amp does better...UCD400
or Zappulse. After this I'll do some tweaking with Elna
Cerafine caps and Jensen 4-poles. Many high-end ClassD
amps use stuff from Jensen in the PSU (Tact as well as
the greek Zappulse OEM project - forgot the name)
so there must be a reason for this. I once listened to
the Tact S2150 and it blew me away. Hope to get the
same kind of experience with the UCD/Zappulse.

I am waiting for my Jeff Rowland model 8 amp, and I am now using zappulse 2.2se with 2*42v-800 VA trannie, 2*18000uf elna cerafine/channel. The cerafines are the best caps I have ever tried on the zappulse. And I have tried some. I have owned all the versions of zappulse, and the config that I have now, works out just beautiful. The zappulses are 2 monoblocks. For rectifiers I am using 8 pcs byv79e schottky dioder/channel. Som really good 99.9999x % pure silver internal cable, etc.
I will do a shootout between these amplifiers in a week or so.
I really don't have any clue, what the result will be.
