Type 83 Tube - Which Way To Plug In Socket?

Good evening. This may seem like a newbie question, but I am servicing a Hickok 600a tester, and installing a fresh pair of brand new 5Y3 and 83 tubes while I'm at it. I'm all finished, and I have never plugged in a type 83 before. Most tubes have foolproof orientation into the socket, but this type can be plugged in any which way. Is there a method here, or is the orientation insignificant?

Thank you in advance! I have read all of the threads I can find on the tube and it's behavior(and Hickok's horizontal placement), so I'm going to heat it up for about an hour before checking the tester.
