I'll contact tubes.ru if I cannot get the tubes I need from Golden Middle. Golden Middle has a partner here in Finland and they will send the tubes = I don't need to bother my friend.

you can probably get 6S4S much cheaper. It is same tube but 6,3v filament.

Oh yeah - Last time I talked to tubes.ru, minimum order was 100 lot. I believe Svetlana factory sells minimum of 100 lot as well, incl. old stock. (I had a friend's friend who had been to the factory.. but don't quite remember.)

Check random small electronics stores, they would be best bet IMO. many electronics stores sell modern SS stuff, but also old stock elektron lamps. Although it would be harder to find new production in these stores, as they are more for export. Often you can find lamps in markets..


Platan has 6S4S for 490 rubl', which is.. I forget exchange rate. something like ~17 evro.

300B (doesnt say brand) is about.. 20 evro. matched pair svetlana 300B is 70 euro or so..

I forget exact exchange rate.. because my prices listed are calculated in head - from rubl', to lita, to cdn $, to euro. ;-)

If u intend to do SE, pay attension on GK71 tube. It sounds better than GM70.
Price for GK71 in Moscow aprrox $15. For the close price u could
find any tube made by Sovtek, Reflector.

I'll check the forum asap.

My amp will be SET, appr. 2W, no NFB.. The usual case. I'm going to use 2A3-tubes cause I have the transformers suitable for this tube.

Have you heard of the 6C47C, its apparently a regulator pass-tube with a high current (1.5A) at around 100V

Are these available in Russia?

They look to be a good tube ton try in an OTL layout!

The Platan company has market grid calls "CHIP&DIP", but in there shops have no any tubes. The Platan company work (trade) with small electrinics factorys (plants) only. Platan specialized on chips (silicon devices). :-(
