ok this i have to comment on
each has there place
tubes sound better i can give 50 reasons why
but if you build one they have to tuned and set with channels for hours because the heat changes them and you only get a ruff best place
most are tuned at higher temps so as it runs longer it gets the best sound
they are delicate drop one brakes, move a hot one brakes
most HAVE to have low to no feedback 8 ohms (main stream) + today, was 16 ohms
vary power hungry like a tank just eats to go vary little
pain to build, not for faint of hearted
heats room up
but sounds so good
tubes burn out
cost $$$$$$
can have big amp built in vary small box

solid state
cheaper
easy to build
can drop slam beat the amp will not brake transistor
low ohms capability
can operate a big systems and afford electric bill... better anyway
can be made BIG easy
simpler
does not sound half as cool
bigger amp power=bigger amp size

hybrid
tube preamp
transiter driver
sounds better than solid state closest to true tube amps
has solid state output ease, can make big outputs easy
the better of both without the major flaws

its personal choice
and monitory ability
the radio in my pic is tube
it makes the coolest sound
but for half an hour its out of tune every 5 mins as it heats up
still love it
