I have used:
6FM7
6FY7
6FJ7

I plan to implement a 6U10 as a single tube Mullard phase splitter in an upcoming project. These are some of the last American made tubes, and IMO are quite excellent, especially at the price. The only problem with them is trying to get people not to throw them in the trash.

Hello Pyre

The 6AV6 has two diodes, pins 5 and 6 with pin 2 serving as a common cathode, shared with the triode section. Ground pins 5 and 6.
AES may have some 12AV6's cheap and you'll be all 12.6V filament-wise!
I've never been a fan of these tubes but they should be ok in the CF position.

Wayne ;)

I'm back!
