Hello all
I am trying to gain a better understanding of this basic LPF. In another tread is was described like this...
L1: 2.7 mH switchable to 3.6 and 2.0
L2: 500 uH (with 10 ohm parllel)
C1: 5 uF
Ok so I understand enough to see that L1, L2 and C1 make up a basic 18db LPF.
My main question would be what is the function of the ten Ohm resistor run in parallel with L2?
Thanks for any insight
EDIT: Ok ill take a guess... Is it a simple zobel to keep things more predictable?

the LPF filter to be added with Contour network.
