For fun, I tried designing a circuit that would measure angles pretty accurately over a full 360 degrees. It's far from finished yet, but I though that some people might be interested in it. (And maybe there's mistakes in it that could be pointed out.)

I just added some explanation on how it works, but I guess you already know .
I also considered PDS's (photo sensitive devices), but that meant I'd have had to use a source of light and having very well set up hardware to measure the angle accurately (well, as far as I understood the principle correctly). Also I would have had to use formulas for light sensitivity and all and I don't know anything about that, so this is a much easier way to do it I guess, well for me at least.
The turntable thing is a nice idea . Well, I guess you can use it for lots of things. I'll have to make myself a few of those sensors I think .
