VirtualBox and VMWare should work with almost everything, about the only exception is if your program needs direct hardware access. I think Xen allows even that to work, but I'm not sure.

Ticks.
Lyme disease infaded the dunes i live at, restricted wildlife area with hosts varying from deer to martens.
Doesn't help a lot to have a front gate if the gatekeeper is also the A-No.1 tick courier.

We live near a forested reservation of several thousand acres -- and several neighbors have had Lyme disease -- the carrier is generally deer. We now have fox, coyote, rabbit, grey squirrels, wild turkey, black bear, opossum, raccoons, chipmunks in addition to the deer. Of these, I hate the deer the most.
