Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived - The Oatmeal
Tesla VS Edison: I could write a novel on the differences between Tesla and Edison, but seeing as how this comic is already huge I decided to leave many things out. For instance, Edison killed cats and dogs, but Tesla loved animals and had a cat as a child. Originally Tesla wanted to be a poet, but after getting zapped by static electricity from his kitty he was inspired to study the effects of electricity. One could vaguely construe that Tesla's cat was responsible for the second industrial revolution, which arguably makes it the most awesome cat who ever lived.

you forgot smiley in previous post , so I reckon that you're serious
..I make no secret of the fact that I am very old. It should therefore be no surprise that I forgot the smiley!! So here are a few.
Here's a funny slightly off-topic anecdote you Pass-ers can take credit for:
In the low-light mornings during the week I have some difficulty identifying between some of my black and navy blue socks. After careful staring between a few of them, I will make a decision on which go together. This morning when I switched two socks between two pairs and was satisfied that the new pairs were correctly arranged, I thought to myself,
"I have matched their Idss."
I have no rightful claim to using such a term, but I think it has something to do with jfets.

Buy them from same batch it makes life much easier
I get about 20 pairs al from same batch
The washed ones get in front of the enclosure and get used again till they get worn and end up in the bin making space for new pair from back of enclosure
when I am down to 2 pairs I ge to shop and buy new batch.
Remaining 2 pairs get used for od jobs like waxing the car
Sorted

wakoo 'Talians
I really do hope that you are not including me in that remark - I am pure unadulterated IRISH blood + a little from:
Frenchie land
Swizland
Old Prussia (Alsace - now Frenchie land!)
Norman (Frenchieland - again)
Hugenot (Frenchieland...)....and
IRISH.
What is annoying is that it is c2c who is PURE Irish/'Talian, and Redsaab who is 100% 'Talian!.
back to childhood
