GB - moderate thd, as long as it's long rise time and small bandwidth
US - moderate thd, as long as there's lotsa bass.
Oz - as long as it's ultra low thd. Up Yours, Mate, how does it sound ?
JP - as long as it's tube.
Kiwi- as long as it's really hot. Doesn't have to be complementary, why do you think i'm dating my sheep.
NL - as long as it's ultra linear, high bandwidth, and screaming highs. Think stepping into cat's alley, fully body rubbed with cream cheese.

Ok, everyone has a right to their own opinion. At least he fancies himself as a guy, who could perceive narrow-minded people. That's fine. I'm sure he took down all mirrors at home.
The guy has a point though. A lot of us whom frequent this section, are pretty blinded by the Pass stuff (yours truly included).
The real question to me is:
Is that a problem?

speaking strictly for my self - I see no issue between Goldmund and Pass ;
first one is "just" another Hitachi app.note based amp , second one is fun&pleasure&knowledgegivingcreature ;
amps are irrelevant ; ppl are what's important
tnx to Pass - many of us ( me included or not , doesn't matter) became capable to construct and make our own "Goldmund like quality" amp.
being excited about "best sounding world's amp" is simply childish , in pejorative way of speaking .
just having an amp is waaaaaay down on my list of imperatives
