The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

told ya .... I'm sucker for speakers

couldn't help my self

pics from ad , already arrived

need to replace one bip elco , everything else in pristine condition

Audax drivers , Elipson already legendary Frogie manufacturer

in fact - ain't they all already sort of legendary (some more than others) , at least to peasants as Mighty ZM certainly is ....... Cabasse, Elipson,Triangle , Supravox ...Focal

will serve as radio/TV spks , with some AB amp , so no need to power it off, except when powering up real amp with proper size spks

Bright new cooper wiring can do sound quality upgrade.
Maybe filters modifications as well if need.
Cute vintage spk pair btw.
Greetings :)

I was out in the garden with Cica, later with Emil.
There was a quite nice clear sky despite damned city lights, perhaps even third magnitude stars was visible.
I thinking in similar cases about one of my very favourite song from Laurie Anderson always: Kokoku:

Laurie Anderson:Kokoku Lyrics | LyricWikia | FANDOM powered by Wikia

"And on a very distant star, slimy creatures scan the skies.
They've got plates for hands.
And telescopes for eyes.
And they say: Look! Down there!
A haunted planet spinning 'round.
They say: Watch it move. Watch it shake.
Watch it turn. And shake."

Friday 13.

:clown:

Yep, no joke, last friday 13 (in January 2017) was one of my most horrible days. I remember, in the morning I made jokes about Friday 13, but in the afternoon I had a frantic call and had to rush my mother to the holspital fighting for her life.
So I make no more jokes about friday 13..
By the way, could one imagine that among so may stars, dust...somewhere...therr are some damn good vintage speakrs. Now, somebody luckily finds them... ;)
In the meantime, I am playing with some fullrangers...

My wife comes, and looks at the big bucket of gears.
You will never put this together. - She says.
Thank you for your confidence, darling. - I say.

I'm quite rarely trust in myself without hassle, but now that certainly is not the case.
Of course I put the clock structure together, so there is no problem.
But the pillow of one pinion is completely worn, not round but oval.
I didn't see it before because of that thick dirt.
I do not know yet what I'm going to do, but I have ideas.
