I don't think 409 is really about driving. It's about a car. But close enough, maybe.

The song describes a race which involves driving. The number 409 describes a Chevy engine, which could have been in one of several cars. The other engine mentioned the Chrysler 413.

That does seem to be the case when I do a Google search. Back in a different era, there used to be a juke box on the cafeteria at work. It even played for free, thus certain songs are permanently burned into non volatile memory. Band On The Run, Smoke On The Water, and 8675309, which was the title listed on the juke box play list.

Need a new number, 5150 - Van Halen. The number 1984 is a popular one due to the George Orwell book. There are several songs by that title including a Van Halen album, but I like the version by Spirit.
