The 15 Song Album collection:

Songs that the composer(s) and/or performer(s) may have regretted.

01 - He Hit Me (And It Felt Like A Kiss) - Gerry Goffin & Carole King (the version in my collection is by The Motels)
02 - My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama - Frank Zappa
03 - 1812 Ouverture - Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky ("...very loud and noisy but without artistic merit, written without warmth or love." Tchaikovsky)
04 - Les sucettes - France Gall (That days she didn't get the "hidden" meaning) It about Lollipops.
05 - Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
06 - Run for Your Life - The Beatles (written and regretted by John Lennon)
07 - Hi Ho Silver Lining - Jeff Beck (who said it was "like having a pink toilet seat hung around your neck for the rest of your life")
08 - Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da - The Beatles (no need to describe why...)
09 - Owner Of A Lonely Heart - Yes (ditto...)
10 - The Laughing Gnome - David Bowie
11 - More Than Seven Dwarfs in Penis-Land - Ron Geesin/Roger Waters
12 - House Of The Rising Sun - Eric Burdon, The Animals (Eric said he didn't know he'd have to sing it at every performance for the rest of his life)

I think Eric said that about their '65 single 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place'.
It was even written into their (and later his) contracts that he has to perform that song if he wanted to get paid. It was the most requested song by GIs during the Vietnam War.

He may have said the same about Rising Sun, I don't know and he never mentioned it in the interviews I've read.

13 - I Was Made For Loving You - Kiss (Simmons: "What's my part? Stanley: Do,do,do,do,do,....." Simmons: "No, no, come on, I'm the God of Thunder")

Ironically, Sinatra despised the song, calling it at one time "a piece of sh*t" and "the worst f*cking song that I have ever heard."

He was reluctant to record it because he said it sounded as if it was "about two f*gs who meet in the bus station bathroom."
