Believe it or not, I heard that song just yesterday when I had my MP3 player (fed through my main sys) set on random play just for background music when making lunch.

Melanie was only 15 years old when she recorded that song and was escorted to Woodstock by her grandmother.

BTW Melanie never performin Laydown at Woodstock.

During her set (when it was raining) the audience lit up candles (cigarette lighters?) to accompany the music. Later she wrote "Laydown (Candles in the Rain)".
