It never fails that I run into another posting at the same time. I can't even edit my own without it happening! :headbash:

Lets go with another Anagram themed 15 songs......I hope this doesn't cause too much stress and confusion this time.

I will try to formulate the ruling in an unambiguous manner and wording. The layout should be as follows;
(your anagram of a not too obscure songs title) (the number of letters of each word in the sought after original title) (an optional added cryptic clue about the Artist to help thing along)
Like this;

A Skewed Doll Within ( 4 2 3 4 4 ) NYC

The person who figures out the answer then adds the solution to the back of the clue, along with the artists name, removing the word count and additional clue, and then sets there own anagram.

So it might be a good idea to start figuring out your own anagram clues in advance, so that you can jump in quickly before someone else figures the answer out.

I'll start with an example, first person sets;

00 - A Skewed Doll Within ( 4 2 3 4 4 ) NYC

Then I solve it, and add the next clue;

00 - A Skewed Doll Within - Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reed.
01 - Retired two garble overdub ( 6 4 8 5 ) Got them by the short and curlies

If you notice, you aren't the only one, he had to edit it 10 minutes later
That was to add the advice of figuring anagrams out in advance.
So..not hurting, just active.
Konzentr8, you must have spent so long searching online for anagrams for he previous anagram theme, that you enjoy a bit of brain ache.:D

It would be nice if everyone would avoid the online anagram solveing sites for figuring the answers out, and just use them if needed for creating anagrams. It is crushing to find a good clue that takes a lot of time, devotion and effort, just off handedly, with no personal effort or interest, quickly solved by a machine. This also removes the pleasure others might have in puzzle solving.:)

I've chosen a really well known song - a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks, there are few songs better known.... as I advised above, choose nothing too obscure.
To easy is also no fun... someone will soon crack it, the added clue at the back makes it quite easy..........but if the interest in but minimal amongst you all, then I don't mind scrapping it, but lets let it run for a while and see.

We could add the ruling that the setter posts the solution to the clue if no-one solves it within a set period of time, say 6 hours, and then it is open for anyone to post the next clue.
The two posts only rule can also be lifted, to allow those more intersted and active, to take a third or forth attempt, to help the thread keep moving.

02 - An Oregon Widow - ( 9 4 ) - English Band

*bendyha, Would it be better to have the problems kept in the list and then the answer to it, rather than erasing it from the list? If not you can fix it how you want it. Dave..

11:2 i'd say.
An Oregon Widow...........After looking at your clue, I went off for a walk/icecream, and the solution popped into my head when I wasn't thinking about it. I should refrain from taking another go untill the day is past.

Maybe I should give some more clues to help get it going for people: It's a two worded title, first word 9 letters long, second word 4 letters long. It's a song by arguably the most popular English band of all time. There's something fabulous about them :)
