TDA7293 minimum closed loop gain.

Hi folks,
What could be considered the borderline minimum, stable closed-loop gain for a TDA7293 chip, considering non-inverting mode? I'm looking for a gain of ~12, 14.

Data sheet.
The chip has an internally set gain of 32dB (+/-1)
Do you want to apply an external loop to change it?

The minimum gain allowed is 29db.
The IC can oscillate if gain is too low.
Always keep feedback resistor path as short as possible.

The datasheet mentions a minimum gain of 26dB. I was hoping for a way around, but I'll probably attenuate the gain at the input using a voltage divider. Jan, the gain set on this chis seems external, with a default setting of 22k to 680R feedback network.

@ 50AE yes indeed.! I saw a data sheet where it was set internally but can't find it back.
