subwoffer plate amp. is this any good?
hay can any body tell me if this amp is any good

it looks a little bit cheap but it is only $180 and i dont have mutch money at the moment. i will be running a peerless 831857 sub off it.

Well Id suggest a PartExpress plate amp...cheaper and more power, plus nicer amenities.

Actually buying a sub amp from PE is not all that expensive. Once you get over the shock of US$71 shipping, they work out quite good value and ends up about A$100 cheaper than a Jaycar unit and better to boot. Just have to make sure you get one that can be switched to 240V.
Bought a PE 300-792 and ended up at A$220 all up which is quite good. Depends on exchange rates of course. Easy to disable or alter the bass boost as well.
Don't like the look of the S/N ratio on the Altronics one, >64dB and the roll of at 6dB IMO is too low.
