Actually, saying that, there's still a bit of a dip. Maybe stuffing will help the responce in these areas?
Another interesting thing I've noticed is that I can go impressively loud at 25Hz without a whole lot of cone movement, but at 20Hz the cone flaps all over the place! It's like the speaker is becoming 'unloaded' or something...

try using polyfill stuffing in the line to smooth out the response curve, .. i daresay you will be happier.

I found a deal on 1.5Kg of polyester stuffing for around �would that be enough? On www.wilmslow-audio.co.uk, 120g xeye of wool is �nd apparently is enough for 20 litres. Are wool and polyester stuffing around the same density?
I’m too thinking about getting sub for my bedroom. I red somewhere what in small rooms bass is loading differently when in big rooms- you pressurizing room to get bass. You could plug the port to see if it going to help because room gain pretty big and turning sub to get flat respond below room gain frequencies should create bump.
