Hello,

Matt: yes, I'll give Wilmslow a few more days.

As for the moving mass of Seas Excel M15 it equals 5.8 g, so
it really low.
As for now, the actual concept looks something like that:
HD3P
M15CH001
Eton 7-360/37 HEX from 400 to 100 Hz.
Probably Seas L26 as a dedicated downward-firing subwoofer.
Well... I guess am going to have some fun (I hope..) building
these.. ;)

Alternative

The discussion here seem centred on the Seas M15CH001 and the Scan-speak 12M4631G00. The appeal of the Seas is severely limited by its xmax, whereas the Scan is limited by how usefully low it can go.

FWIW, I have a pair of M15CH001 that I have used briefly in a 3-way crossed LR2 at 350Hz and 3.5kHz, which showed a lot of promise. But I want a wider midband window, preferably from 200Hz to 4kHz, and for that the Scan-speak 15M4531K00 seem ideally suited.

I have a pair on order and will soon know if it is subjectively better than the M15CH001. At least with the 15M, I think I can do LR2 at 200Hz, whereas the M15 needs LR4 and preferably above 300Hz.

Just my $0.02 as a newbie on this forum ...

James
