spikes under vibrationless speaker?

To return to the original premise that opposing woofers will cancel each other's vibrations:

Regardless of whether we utilise horizontal cross-bracing of the cabinet walls, or have the woofer's magnets in direct contact with each other, the woofer chassis vibrations will not cancel but simply be diverted elsewhere within the cabinet structure.

The vibrational energy persists until it is converted into other forms of energy, in this case unwanted sound and low temperature heat.

Whether it helps to couple these cabinet vibrations into a wooden floor via spikes or to decouple them by using some sort of compliant system is a matter for experimentation. Ultimately, in each situation, the vibrational energy is dissipated mainly as heat.
