I'd like to get this sub operational. Apart from the driver needing refoaming, I need to replace the missing access panel. It may have been something more complex than just a panel.

Internally, there are two chambers linked by a duct with a second duct as an exit port.

Can any DIYer send a link to or post a pic of the access panel?

Can any DIYer provide link(s) to original info on this sub? Info on the web is strangely scant. Its likely that the sub was part of a HT system and not sold separately.

Looks like a series-tuned 6th order bandpass design. Why not simply cover up the access point with a piece of wood cut to size?

I thought to do so once I learned a bit more about the box. The hole is just big enough to allow the removal of the driver so I hoped that the missing panel was no more than a cover plate.

My guess is, that the hole is for the plate amp.

No, not for a plate amp although adding one is a useful possibility. Not shown in the pics is the rear passive speaker connection.
