CDP-XA7ES? CDP-X77ES? Sony has so many (IMO) badly numbered items it gets confusing sometimes.

I'll get the player tomorrow and will see the exact model number. I need the complete schematics as I'm going to perform some deep mods on it

On the front panel it is written X7ESD.
You can see it here:

Hi, are you still looking for info about the CDP-X7ESD? If there is something specific you need I may be able to scan it. - I have one of these players (still working beautifully and it's now 18 yrs old!) and photocopied some parts of service manual many years ago.
If it is faulty, what is the problem?

hi can anyone as regards parts for sony x7esd speccally the cd carrier mechanisim some dude tried to prise it open and damaged it.
