I find valve power supplies a bit of pain having to buy in special transformers.

So what I did was have a cheap mains transformer drop to 12VAC for the ECC83 heaters then used another cheap mains transformer in reverse to get the 12VAC back upto 180VAC !
Works a treat and doesnt cost the earth.
